Why We Didn’t March

We didn’t march because we were bored with the pandemic.

We didn’t march because we thought it would please everyone around us.

We didn’t march because we agreed with everything said or everything done.

We didn’t march because we felt guilty.

We didn’t march because we hate police or whiteness or civil society.

We didn’t march because we thought it was our only hope.

We marched for love. Love of Creator, love of image-bearers, love of justice, love of country, love of hope, love of blackness, love of our sons.
